Beautiful. Hot. Capable. Strong.
There's nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself. I'm Stevie, and I'm building something for transgender women who want to make big decisions, get moving and become the women they want to be. A personalised Planner is at its heart. And we've already started building the tools around it.
I started transitioning in my 50s. Not exactly the conventional time to turn your entire life upside down, but I've never been particularly good at conventional.
I had an idea of the woman I wanted to become. And, rather stubbornly, I went after her.
I've shared most of it through Fast Track Femme. And something rather lovely happened: women started writing to me. Lots of them. How did I do it? Where did I start? What would I do differently?
I don't want to turn anybody into a copy of me. Good God, one of me is quite enough. I want to help women pursue what they actually want for themselves, and to do it exceptionally well.
That's why I've started Become.
What followed was one of the most extraordinary periods of my life. The decisions. The surgery. The successes. The mistakes. The money. The endless research. And occasionally the complete bloody absurdity of it all.
Some of the women who write to me are just beginning to think about transition. Others are years into it and wondering what comes next. Some want to change their appearance. Some want to get fitter or more confident. Some are trying to make sense of decisions that feel completely overwhelming. And quite often, they simply want to know what's possible.
I love those conversations. But there are an extraordinary number of women working out complicated things on their own, often making expensive decisions with very little practical help. I've been there.
I've spent nearly 35 years building technology and solving difficult problems, so I know how to build things properly. And I know there are brilliant professionals out there doing excellent work. I want to bring the best of that together, for us.
“Let's become the best fucking trans women we can be. Let's become beautiful. Let's become hot. Let's become capable. Strong.”
Where do you start when there are a hundred things to think about, some enormous decisions to make, and no idea what order to do anything in?
Become Planner isn't a questionnaire. It's a plan that lives with you: the decisions you've made, the one you're on now, and what comes next. Only the things you care about. When your life changes, your money changes or your mind changes, the plan changes with you.
And at the moment you're weighing something up, you'll hear from me. Real, recorded videos about the decisions I faced, what I got wrong and what I'd do differently. Not a computer pretending to be me. Me. My experience, clearly marked as mine, never an instruction to follow my route.
You make the decisions.
It isn't just about finding information. It's about working out what matters to you, understanding your options, deciding what comes first, and turning the whole thing into something manageable. That was one of the hardest parts of my own transition.
Imagine sitting down and talking properly about where you are and where you'd like to go: your appearance, your health, your fitness, your voice, your confidence, your money, your circumstances. Become would help you explore the possibilities, find the questions worth asking, understand the trade-offs and put together a realistic plan.
Not a generic checklist. Not somebody else's idea of the correct transition. Your ambitions. Your circumstances. Your plan. That's the planner I wish I'd had, and it's the one we're designing.
Where the Planner uses automated tools to help with your plan, it will say so plainly at that point.
So much fitness advice assumes everybody wants the same result. But what if the programme is building exactly the changes you were trying to avoid?
Become Fitness & Nutrition starts from what you're trying to achieve, works with the equipment and time you actually have, and explains why your programme is built the way it is. This is where Become started. There's still work to do, but you can try it today.
Development demo, not a finished service. Six short steps, about four minutes. The photo step currently shows a sample result rather than a reading of your photos.
I don't believe being transgender should mean accepting lower standards. And I don't just mean prettier websites and nicer words. I mean actual things that happen to actual women.
Complicated, fragmented decisions, researched alone.
A practical, evolving plan.
Forty browser tabs. Conflicting advice. Several spreadsheets. And you're somehow expected to coordinate the whole thing yourself.
Fitness advice that assumes everybody wants the same body.
Training for your goals, not somebody else's.
Perfectly competent for somebody else. Just not right for you. That's what happens when a service doesn't understand the goal.
Healthcare and professional services that lose things, and lose you.
A serious ambition to raise the standard.
Being treated with respect is lovely. But somebody also needs to find out where the bloody prescription has gone. Respect and competence. Surely we're entitled to both.
Finding good help shouldn't depend on luck. I want useful, competent services that do what they're supposed to do, and I want Become held to exactly the same standard.
I want women to have healthcare that is professional, responsive and properly organised. Where important information doesn't get lost, and somebody takes responsibility when something goes wrong.
We're exploring what Become might eventually contribute, starting with helping women prepare for appointments and keep their information in order. In time, I'd like to look at whether Become could help make properly qualified clinical care easier to reach in the UK and Ireland.
Demonstration screens. Become Health is not a clinical service; nothing here is available to use.
Become does not currently provide medical consultations, prescriptions or clinical treatment.
Anything clinical would need qualified professionals, the right regulation and proper safeguards. I don't underestimate any of that. There is nothing to try here yet, and nothing clinical is on offer.
I don't want Become to decide what transgender women ought to need and then spend five years persuading them. What are you trying to achieve? What's been unnecessarily difficult? What do you wish somebody would build properly? And what would you like to ask me?
Please don't feel obliged to agree with me. If you think an idea is rubbish, tell me why. I might even listen.
An idea, a frustration, a question. No mailing list, no account. Anonymous unless you add your details.
A working development demo. Six short steps, about four minutes. It says plainly what's sample and what's real.
Try the demo →An email when there's something to try, and nothing else. Separate from feedback, with your consent.
We can become.
I'd absolutely love you to be part of it.
